Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 2026-08-26
We respect your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods.
1. Self-Service: Delete Your Account
The quickest way to delete all your data is through the app:
- Log in to your account at app.idun.blue.
- Go to Settings (or Account).
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion.
This permanently removes your personal data, including your profile, course progress, community posts, and any connected social media tokens.
2. Request Via Email
If you are unable to access your account, you can request data deletion by email:
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account.
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion by email.
3. Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Data
If you connected your Instagram or Facebook account to Idun Blue:
- Disconnecting your social media account in the app deletes its stored access token, connected-account identifiers and associated Meta data from active systems.
- Removing Idun Blue's authorization in Meta or initiating a data deletion request through Meta automatically removes the access token, account identifiers, insights, comments, message data, automation records and raw Meta payloads associated with that connected account.
- Creator-authored drafts may remain in Idun Blue, but they are detached from the deleted account and stripped of Meta-returned links and errors.
- You can also remove Idun Blue's access from your Meta Business Integrations settings.
4. What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, bio, profile picture).
- Course enrollment and progress data.
- Community posts and comments.
- Messages and conversations.
- Social media access tokens and connected account data.
- Email subscription preferences.
- Session and authentication data.
5. What We Retain
Certain data may be retained after account deletion as required by law:
- Transaction records — purchase history and invoice data are retained for 7 years as required by Swedish bookkeeping regulations (Bokföringslagen).
- Legal obligations — data required for legal proceedings or regulatory compliance.
- Encrypted backups — client-side-encrypted disaster-recovery backups are isolated from normal processing and expire within 30 days.
Retained data is stored securely and is not used for any other purpose.
